Oddity (2024)

Yes. Congrats. The director of "Caveat" managed it to reach a quality improvement. If "Caveat" was a foggy, muddy and unintelligible mess. "Oddity" is perfectly clear but at the same time incredibly dumb and generic. If this is the prize of clarity then good night.  A really stupid story. The masked murderer is perfectly emblematic in this regard. It is a cardboard storyboard cinema with zero thoughts. A one trick pony: watch it once and throw it away. What about trying to develop a script that works not only for one time watch?

Dans ma peau (2002)

Marina de Van - Dans ma peau (2002)

A poetic and devastating masterpiece.Tenderness, cruelty, atrocities, violence and poetry are in a perfect equilibrium. A suicidal Chantal-Akerman-World. A new Jeanne Dielman, but now the innerworldly violence against women is directed against the female protagonist alone. A Selfdestruction covered in tears.

Bliss (2019)

Joe Begos, Bliss(2019)

A bloody fantasy about how it is like to be a female artist.Or put more funnily:Oh, look how dangerous Art can be.In the end:Why so much effort for a really trashy painting? Do you really need drugs for such rubbish?

But congrats for an ultra-thrashy and brutal film.
Seems to be a new version of mumblecore.
Or did you understand anything of these braindead dialogues?
